Fees & FAQ

Private-pay practice offering focused, consistent care. In person in Santa Monica and online across California.

This is specialized work. In addition to being a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I completed the full three-year Somatic Experiencing certificate program and continue advanced training with Dr. Peter Levine and SE International faculty. I keep a focused caseload so each client gets the depth of attention this work requires. My fees reflect that level of training and care.

Insurance & Superbills

I'm a private-pay provider. If you have PPO or out-of-network benefits, many clients recover a significant portion of session fees through their insurance. I provide monthly superbills as a courtesy. FSA and HSA cards are accepted as payment. Contact your carrier before scheduling to check your out-of-network coverage.

Payment & Scheduling

Sessions are held weekly. The depth work I specialize in requires consistent contact to build momentum. Payment is collected at the time of service.

Logistics:
• Accepted payment methods: major credit/debit cards
• Monthly superbills available upon request
• Secure client portal for scheduling and documents

Policies

Cancellation

Please provide 48-hour notice to avoid the full session fee.

Communication

Request a consultation through the contact form. Current clients may request or cancel sessions through the client portal. Clinical matters are addressed in session.

Emergencies

I do not provide emergency services. If you are in crisis, call 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or 911, or go to the nearest emergency room.

Good Faith Estimate (No Surprises Act)

You are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges upon request and upon scheduling.

Questions You Might Have

  • Weekly. The kind of work I do requires consistent contact for lasting change. As therapy progresses, we may eventually space sessions as part of a planned transition.

  • Yes. I meet in person in Santa Monica and online for residents of California.

  • I don't offer a sliding scale, but many clients use HSA or FSA funds, and those with PPO plans can submit superbills for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

  • We talk, and we also pay attention to what's happening in your body as we talk. Patterns that started early often live in the nervous system, not just the mind. Somatic work helps your system learn new responses, not just new insights. There's more detail on my Somatic Therapy page.

  • We’ll discuss what you’re seeking, how I work, logistics and fees, and whether we’re a good fit. If another resource would serve you better, I’ll offer referrals.

  • Short-term therapy can address a specific issue in a few months. The attachment and developmental work I specialize in goes deeper. Most clients notice shifts early, and as things settle, some taper to less frequent sessions. We check in regularly about what's working and adjust as needed.

  • Many of my clients have. If insight hasn't translated into feeling different, it may be that talk therapy addressed the mind but not the nervous system. That's where somatic work comes in.

  • It's natural for therapy to feel uncomfortable at times. Growth often does. But there's a difference between productive discomfort and poor fit. If something feels off, I invite you to say so. Sometimes the most useful sessions come from naming what isn't landing. And if after giving it a real try we're not a good match, I'll help you find someone who may be a better fit.
